64 12 525 Replacing Complete Independent Heater

IMPORTANT:

Replace exhaust gas sealing ring without fail!

Failure to replace the sealing ring may cause the independent heater to undergo malfunctions and later damage caused by the inherent intake of exhaust gas!

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove complete independent heater. See 64 12 021 REMOVING AND INSTALLING COMPLETE INDEPENDENT HEATER

Unfasten hose clip (1).

Detach air intake hose (2) in direction of arrow.

Release screws (3).

Release screw (1).

Pull counter holder (2) out of guide.

Disconnect independent heater holder (3) from independent heater (4).

Installation:

Replace exhaust seal (5).

Installation:

Carry out coding/programming.
