64 11 225 Replacing Controller For Heater - A/C System Fan (Automatic A/C High)

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Disconnect battery negative lead See 61 20 900 DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING BATTERY NEGATIVE LEAD
Remove lower trim from instrument panel See 51 45 181 REMOVING AND INSTALLING INSTRUMENT PANEL TRIM AT BOTTOM RIGHT
Remove side trim panel on center console

Disconnect plug connection (1) on fan housing (2).

NOTE:

For purposes of clarity, illustration shows heater/air conditioner removed.

Release screws (1) and remove fan cover (2) in direction of arrow.

Disconnect plug connection (1).

Release screws (2) and remove controller for heater - A/C system fan (3) in direction of arrow.
