52 25 410 Replacing Backrest Cover For Left or Right Rear Seat

Special tools required: 

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

Detach retainers in areas (1).

Remove remnants of retainers from backrest cover and/or padding.

Installation: 

Bend new retainers closed with 52 0 050 PLIERS .

Unhook backrest cover (1) at top.

Release retainers on cover (2).

Remove cover (2).

Disconnect plug connections (3).

Remove backrest cover (1) complete with padding.

Remove lumbar cushion.

Release retainers in area (1).

Remove backrest cover from padding.

Remove remnants of retainers from backrest cover and/or padding.

Installation: 

Bend new retainer (2) closed with 52 0 050 PLIERS

  1. Retainer
  2. Support
  3. Trim thread in support
  4. Trim thread in seat cover
  5. Seat cover

Pull trim threads (1) out of seat cover.

Installation: 

Slide trim threads (1) into new seat cover. If necessary, cut mounting for trim threads.

Lever out locking strip of head restraint guide with trim panel wedge 00 9 317. 

Installation: 

Mount straight front face of head restraint guide towards front.
