52 17 035 Removing and Installing/Replacing Gearing For Head Restraint Adjustment

Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove shaft for head restraint adjustment. See 52 17 000 REMOVING AND INSTALLING LEFT OR RIGHT FRONT SEAT (COMFORT)
Remove retainer (1) on left and right.
Remove gearing (2) on left and right straight towards front.
Installation:
To ensure identical adjustment of gearings (2), carry out following work step on both gearings:
- Unscrew component (4) until threaded rod (5) is flush with edge (3).
