52 14 405 Replacing Backrest Cover For Front Left or Right Seat (Normal/Electric)

Special tools required: 

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

Detach plug connection (1) by twisting from backrest frame.

Disconnect plug-in connection.

Release all retainers (1) on cover.

Remove cover.

Release all retainers (1).

Detach cable tie (1) an wiring harness for fan.

Disconnect plug connections (2).

Unhook backrest cover at retaining points in area (1).

Remove backrest cover with padding from backrest frame towards front.

Release all retainers.

Remove backrest cover (1) from padding.

Remove all remnants of clips from backrest cover (1) and padding.

Installation: 

Bend new retainer (2) closed with 52 0 050 PLIERS .

  1. Retainer
  2. Support
  3. Trim thread in support
  4. Trim wire in backrest cover
  5. Back-rest cover

Pull trim threads (1) out of backrest cover.

Installation: 

Slide trim threads (1) into new backrest cover; if necessary, cut new part.

Lever out locking strip of head restraint guide with trim panel wedge 00 9 317. 

Installation: 

Mount straight front face of head restraint guide towards front.
