22 11 001 Replacing Right Engine Mount (S85)

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Secure engine in installation position. See 11 00 670 SECURING ENGINE IN INSTALLATION POSITION (S85) .
Remove both front wheels.
Lower front axle carrier.

Observe safety instructions on raising the vehicle. Read and follow operating instructions for lifting platform. Before driving onto a lifting platform, make sure there is sufficient ground clearance between the lifting platform and the car. The vehicle may only be raised with the lifting platform at the four jacking points. See 00...... LIFTING VEHICLE WITH A LIFTING PLATFORM (5-SERIES) or 00..... LIFTING VEHICLE WITH A LIFTING PLATFORM (6-SERIES) .

Release screws (1).

Remove engine mount.

Tighten to specified torque, see 22 11 1AZ in 22 11 ENGINE MOUNTING .

Installation:

Replace screws.

Lug (1) of engine mount must point to middle of vehicle.

Engine mount designations:

Right engine mount

Even component number

Left engine mount

Odd component number
