Contact Ring: Removal

Before proceeding, see AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS . Disable air bag system. See DISABLING SYSTEM under DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM. Remove steering wheel. See STEERING WHEEL . Remove contact ring cover and ground wire screw. See Figure . Remove mounting screws and contact ring from steering wheel.
