1.13.6 Monitoring function - CAN communication

P1035/P1038, P1036/P1039, P1037/P1040 

VVL control unit uses the CAN bus as communication device. The CAN messages DME_VVL_1, DME_VVL_2, DME_ALL_1 must be sent by the ECU to the VVL control unit at a fixed time rate. Missing reception of CAN messages are detected with timeout counters. CAN message DME_ALL_1 must contain a signal which is altered at every communication (alive counter). An unchanged alive signal is detected by a plausibility check.
