51 71 447 Removing And Installing Or Replacing Panel For Cover On Left Or Right Side Member

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

• Remove entrance cover strip  . Refer to 51 47 000 Removing And Installing/Replacing Front (Inside) Left Or Right Entrance Cover Strip .

Release expansion rivets (1).

Release screws (1).

Unclip trim panel (1) from retainers in areas (2 and 3).

Open door and remove panel (1) in direction of arrow.

Installation: 

Retainers on front holders (1 and 2) must not be damaged.
