16 12 010 Removing and installing/replacing carbon canister (DMTL)

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove cover for carbon canister . See 51 71... REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING COVER FOR CARBON CANISTER (CONVERTIBLE) or 51 71... REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING COVER FOR CARBON CANISTER (COUPE) .

Disconnect plug connection (1).

Unlock quick-release fasteners (2) and disconnect vent lines.

Release screws (3) and remove carbon canister (4).

Installation:

Tightening torque 16 13 1AZ, see 16 13 TANK VENTILATION

Installation:

Lug (1) must be correctly seated in guide (2).
