Installation location
The base plate snap-in adapter is located in the center console. The mobile phone must be fitted by the customer.

Construction
The base plate with snap-in adapter is connected to the TCU (Telematic Control Unit) via a plug connector and the wiring harness. The base plate with snap-in adapter includes:
- Bracket for the mobile phone
- Battery charger for mobile phone battery
- External aerial connection for telephone aerial 2
How it works
The base plate with snap-in adapter holds the mobile phone.
IMPORTANT:
When you are driving, engage the mobile phone in the snap-in adapter. This has the following benefits:
- Reduced risk of injury from loose objects inside the vehicle in the event of sharp braking.
- Continuous monitoring of battery charge state and automatic recharging.
