E60, E61, E63, E64, E87, E90: TCU: Telematics Control Unit

Installation location 

> E90:  The illustration shows the location of various control units. The TCU is fitted to the luggage compartment floor. Other control units may be fitted, depending on the vehicle's equipment.

> E60:  The TCU is located in the luggage compartment on the left-hand wheel arch.

> E61, E87:  The TCU is installed on the right-hand side of the vehicle in the luggage compartment floor.

LOCATING TELEMATIC CONTROL UNIT (E61 AND E87) LEGEND

> E63, E64:  The TCU is located on the left-hand side of the vehicle behind the rear seat backrest.

Construction  The TCU is of modular construction and is equipped with the following components:

How it works 

The TCU is connected to the MOST bus via the 2-pin connector. The 54-pin connector provides the connections to the vehicle electrical system, the base plate with snap-in adapter and the components of the emergency call system.

The TCU provides the following functions:
