12 14 513 Replacing Pulse Generator On Right Exhaust Camshaft (N62, N62TU)

(cylinder bank 1 to 4)

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

• Read out fault memory of DME control unit; if necessary, work through test schedules
• Switch off ignition
• Remove acoustic cover
• Remove right ignition coil cover

Release plug connector (1) and pull off.

Release screw.

Remove pulse generator (2).

Installation: 

Replace sealing ring and coat with antiseize agent.
