The torque monitoring feature compares the torque demand (from accelerator pedal, FGR, electrical equipment, transmission) with the torque provided (calculated from HFM, injector valves, ignition angle, throttle valve angle, differential pressure, lambda). Deviations trigger fuel-supply safety shutdown to prevent vehicle from autonomous acceleration.
