51 34 160 Removing and installing/replacing housing cover on inner left or right door window frame

Necessary preliminary tasks:

• Open door window.
• Remove rear door trim panel. See REMOVING AND INSTALLING REAR LEFT OR RIGHT DOOR TRIM PANEL (LONG VERSION OR FROM 03/2007)  or REMOVING AND INSTALLING REAR LEFT OR RIGHT DOOR TRIM PANEL (UP TO 03/2007) .

Security version: 

Cover is designed as armor plating and bonded to door window frame, replacement is not possible.

Version with roller sun blind on rear door: 

If necessary, unclip cover (1) and release screw (2) underneath.

Remove hook (3) on cover (4).

Replacement: 

If necessary, release screw (1) on hook (2).

Remove hook (2) in direction of arrow from cover (4).

Version without roller sun blind: 

If necessary, lever out cover (1) in direction of arrow.

Installation: 

Following parts of cover (1) must not be damaged:

1. 2 All-round guide
2. 3 Connection point
