52 13 393 Removing and installing/replacing front left or right crash-active head restraint (up to 9/2007)

Incorrect handling may result in triggering of the crash-active head restraint and thereby cause injury.

Switch off ignition!

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Disconnect battery negative lead . See 12 00... INSTRUCTIONS FOR DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING BATTERY .
Remove rear panel

Unfasten plug connection (1) and disconnect.

Feed wiring harness out of backrest frame.

Lift out head restraint.
