51 23 215 Removing And Installing/Replacing Cable For Hood/Bonnet Locks (To Locks)

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

• Disconnect BOWDEN CABLE AT CONNECTION POINT 
• Release Bowden cables on hood/bonnet lock on left/right

  See REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING RIGHT ENGINE HOOD LOCK  and REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING LEFT HOOD/BONNET LOCK .

N62 only: 

• Remove design cover

Feed connecting cable (1) out of cross-member (2) inwards.

Feed cable (3) out of cross-member (2) and side panel.
