41 12 535 Stripping operations - Replacing luggage compartment floor and both side members (tail panel removed)

NOTE: Owing to the different engine variants and equipment specifications, not all the components are taken into consideration.
The following list basically represents the removal sequence.

Remove exhaust system (18 00 020 REMOVING AND INSTALLING COMPLETE EXHAUST SYSTEM (N55) ).
Remove heat shields.
Remove left and right trailing links (51 71 482 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING LEFT OR RIGHT TENSION STRUT (ON REAR AXLE) ).
Remove cross reinforcement (51 71 480 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING CROSS REINFORCEMENT (ON REAR AXLE) or REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING CROSS REINFORCEMENT (ON REAR AXLE) ).
If fitted: Remove active anti-roll bar at rear (37 12 220 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING REAR ACTIVE ANTI-ROLL BAR ).
Remove carbon canister (16 12 010 REMOVING AND INSTALLING OR REPLACING CARBON CANISTER , REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING CARBON CANISTER (US VERSION NVLD) or REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING CARBON CANISTER (US VERSION WITH DMTL) ).
Remove left and right rear wheel arch covers (51 71 041 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING REAR LEFT OR RIGHT WHEEL ARCH COVER )

Undo nut (1) and remove negative battery cable.

Tightening torque 61 21 6AZ .

Undo nut (2) and cable channel.

Undo positive battery cables (3) from luggage compartment floor and put to one side with cable channel.

Remove battery crash pad (4).

Undo latch mechanisms and remove rear bleeder (1).

Undo screws (2) and wiring harness (3) and put to one side.

Undo latch mechanisms and remove rear bleeder (1).

Undo screws for fuse box (2). Put fuse box to one side.

Undo nut (3) and remove ground cable.

Tightening torque 41 34 2AZ .

Release wiring harness (4).

Release plug connections/screw connection and remove interference suppression filter (1).

Disconnect water drain hose (2) from soft top compartment and luggage compartment floor.

Undo wiring harness (3) and cable channel (4) and put to one side.

Remove insulating mat (5).

Shown on left side. Procedure for right side is identical.
