Repair procedures (plant/service)

  1. Check knock sensors for correct installation (observe torque specification).
  2. Inspect spark plugs for major contamination, and respond to extreme oil contamination by continuing the inspection on the mechanical side.
  3. Change fuel, refueling with the fuel specified for this engine.
  4. If extreme contamination is not present either on the spark plug or in the combustion chamber, check the entire engine for high background noise"" (from defective HVA, severe piston tilt, etc.)"
