51 21 225 Removing and installing or replacing inside door opener in left or right front door

Special tools required:

IMPORTANT: Do not detach trim (1) with tool at edge (A). Risk of damage!

Shape butyl into a ball and stick centrally on trim (1).

Pull out butyl ball together with trim in direction of arrow.

Release screw underneath.

Tightening torque, see 51 21 6AZ in BODY EQUIPMENT - TIGHTENING TORQUES .

Press with special tool 00 9 321 against door opener (1) and lever out.

Carefully feed door opener forwards and downwards out of door trim.

IMPORTANT: If the door opener is pulled out too vigorously, there is a risk of damage to the door opener and the Bowden cable.

Unlock holder for Bowden cable (1) and remove door opener (2).

Installation:

Make sure Bowden cable is correctly positioned in holder (2). Grease Bowden cable at holder (2).

Place door opener (1) at front on holder (2) and clip in.

Lever of door opener must be held "closed" in the process.
