Removal & Installation

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 17 other vehicles, including the 2008 BMW 760Li, 2007 BMW 760Li, 2006 BMW 760i, 2006 BMW 760Li, and 2005 BMW 760i. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Release clamp (1). See Fig 1 . Press lock (3) and fold up complete microfilter air duct (4) in direction of arrow. Remove complete microfilter air duct (4) from fresh air duct (2).
Release screw (1) on left/right and remove both fresh air ducts. See Fig 2 .
Pull off sealing strip (1). See Fig 3 . Unfasten screws. Place holder (2) with switch for engine hood contact to one side. Remove bulkhead (3).
To install, reverse removal procedure. Do not crush cable. Check height adjustment of engine hood contact and correct if necessary.
