Removal & Installation

- Before proceeding, see AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS . Disable air bag system. See DISABLING SYSTEM under DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM. Remove appropriate front seat. See FRONT SEATS .
- Lift carpet under seat. Disconnect side air bag crash sensor harness connector. Remove mounting screws and remove sensor.
- To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten to side air bag crash sensor mounting screws specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Activate air bag system. See ACTIVATING SYSTEM under DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM.
