61 35 015 Removing and installing (replacing) control unit for Car Access System
IMPORTANT:
Read and comply with NOTES ON PROTECTION AGAINST ELECTROSTATIC DAMAGE (ESD PROTECTION) .
Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove TRIM PANEL FOR PEDAL ASSEMBLY .
Unfasten plug connection (2) and disconnect.
IMPORTANT:
Carefully unlock and disconnect associated plug connection for ribbon cable (1).
Replace ribbon cable (1) if:
- Plug connection for ribbon cable (1) is damaged
- Control unit for Car Access System (3) is replaced
The ribbon cable leads to the IGNITION STARTER SWITCH .
Release screw (4) and remove control unit for Car Access System (3) in direction of arrow.
Installation:
Feed guide (1) of control unit for Car Access System (2) correctly into associated mounting.
Replacement:
Carry out PROGRAMMING/ENCODING .
Version with auxiliary heater:
Initialize all AUXILIARY HEATER REMOTE CONTROLS .
