Removal & Installation

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 34 other vehicles, including the 2004 BMW M3, 2004 BMW 330xi, 2004 BMW 330i, 2004 BMW 330Ci, and 2004 BMW 325xi. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

NOTE: Before starting work, read out fault memory of ABS/DSC control module and print out diagnostic record.

Remove diagnostic socket from fixture and place to one side. SeeFig 1
Disconnect plug connection (2). Remove screws (1) and carefully remove control module (3) from DSC hydraulic unit. See Fig 1.
To install, reverse removal procedure.
When attaching control module to hydraulic unit, use NEW micro-encapsulated screws. Tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
