64 12 673 Replacing left or right electric auxiliary heater - rear cabin

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

NOTE: For purposes of clarity, pictures show driver's seat removed.

Remove speaker trim (1) and fold back floor carpet (2) in working area.

Remove rear cabin air duct (1) and disconnect plug connections (2). Installation: Ensure that air duct (1) is correctly seated.

Unlock electrical connection (1) and remove. Unlock retaining tabs (2) on both sides from air duct and remove upper vent section (3).

Remove auxiliary heater (1) from lower vent section (2). Installation: Make sure auxiliary heater (1) is correctly seated in lower vent section (2).
