11 43 000 Removing and installing/sealing guide tube for oil dipstick (N62)

Necessary preliminary tasks:

NOTE: Top guide tube section

Unclip guide tube (2) at retaining clip (1).

Release guide tube (2) at connection piece (3).

Release screw (4).

Installation:

Replace sealing ring on tube of non-return valve (3).

Apply light coat of oil to seal.

NOTE: Bottom guide tube section

Unscrew nut (1).

Remove lockplate (2).

Installation:

Lockplate (2) is marked Top.

Remove bottom guide tube section (3) in direction of arrow.

Installation:

Replace sealing ring on guide tube (3).

Apply light coat of oil to seal.

Assemble engine.

Check engine for leaks.
