51 11 156 Removing And Installing Front Bumper Trim (Up To 10/03)

Version with headlight cleaning system:

NOTE: Have a rubber plug on hand and, after detaching hose (3), seal pump outlet (4).

Detach cable tie (1) from hose (2).

Unlock hose (3), detach and seal pump outlet (4).

Release screws (1) on left/right and lift out wheel arch finishers (2) at side.

Lever out finishers (1 and 2) on left/right and remove.

Version with Park Distance Control:

Disconnect plug connection on ultrasonic sensors (3) and remove finisher (2).

Raise hood lid.

Release screws (1) on left/right.

Release screws (1).

Version with Park Distance Control and/or front fog lamps:

If necessary, pull bumper trim (2) forward a little and disconnect plug connections on ultrasonic sensors (3) and fog lamps (4).

Pull off bumper trim (2) and set down on a clean surface.

Installation: 

If necessary, replace faulty retainers (1) in carrier (2).
