51 43 201 Removing And Installing/Replacing Panel For Roof Pillar At Front (A-Pillar), Left Or Right

WARNING: Follow safety instructions for working on cars with AIRBAG systems. Refer to 51 00 ... SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR WORKING ON CARS WITH AIRBAG SYSTEMS .

IMPORTANT: Do not use sharp-edged tools to remove trim (risk of damage to head air bag).

Detach mucket on outside in area of panel (1).

Remove plate (2).

Unscrew bolt (3).

Tightening torque 51 43 2AZ. Refer to BODY EQUIPMENT - TIGHTENING TORQUES .

Unclip panel (1) at top and detach towards top.

Installation:

If necessary, replace faulty clips (1).

Align plastic lug (2) to retainer in A-pillar.

Installation:

Viewing direction through windscreen:

Insert panel for roof pillar (1) into groove (2) of trim panel for instrument panel.
