18 10 028 Replacing right rear muffler (N62)

WARNING: Scalding hazard! Only perform these tasks after exhaust system has cooled down.

Loosen screws (2).

Installation:

Unclip cover (1) from fixtures (2).

Press cover (1) downwards.

Release screws (2) on rubber mount for rear muffler.

Release screws (1) on rubber mount for rear muffler on rear axle carrier.

NOTE: Rubber mounts are colored differently.

for rubber mount of rear muffler on rear bumper.

Mixing up the rubber mounts will alter the vibration response of the exhaust system.

Release screws (2) and remove rear muffler.

Push rubber mount for mounting rear muffler onto brackets of new rear muffler.
