17 11 031 Removing and installing/replacing fan cowl with electric fan

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

• Read out fault memory of DME control unit
• Switch off ignition
• Remove intake hood.
• Unlock intake pipe and disconnect
• Unclip coolant hose from fan cowl

Unlock plug (1) and remove.

Unlock plug (2) on AUC sensor and disconnect, unclip cable.

Unlock holder (1) and move in direction of arrow.

Raise fan cowl (1) approx. 2 cm, carefully press towards rear and lift out.

Installation: 

1. Insert retaining tab (1) at bottom on module carrier.
2. Convert AUC sensor when replacing fan cowl.
