12 14 513 Replacing pulse generator on right exhaust camshaft (N62)

(Cylinder bank 1 to 4)

Switch off ignition.

Remove acoustic cover.

Remove right ignition coil cover. See Figure.

Unlock and detach plug connection (1).

Release screw.

Remove pulse generator (2).

Installation:

NOTE: Interrogate fault memory of DME control unit. Check stored fault messages. Rectify faults. Now clear the fault memory.
