11 62 065 Removing and installing/replacing right exhaust manifold (M62/N62)

(Cylinder bank 1 to 4)

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

• Remove exhaust system.
• Remove reinforcement plate.
• Remove propeller shaft.

Release screw connection at exhaust manifold.

Feed out exhaust manifold towards bottom.

Installation: 

1. Replace seals.
2. Seal beads faces the exhaust manifold.
3. Coat thread with copper paste (CRC).
4. Replace nuts.

Tightening torque, see ENGINE - TIGHTENING TORQUES .

Assemble engine.

Check exhaust system for leaks.
