11 62 060 Removing and installing/replacing left exhaust manifold (M62/N62)

(Cylinder bank 5 to 8)

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

• Remove reinforcement plate.
• Remove exhaust system.
• Remove front propeller

Release screw connection at exhaust manifold.

Feed out exhaust manifold towards bottom.

Installation: 

1. Replace seals.
2. Beads of seals face the exhaust manifold.
3. Coat thread with copper paste (CRC).
4. Replace nuts.

Tightening torque, see ENGINE - TIGHTENING TORQUES .

Assemble engine.

Check exhaust system for leaks.
