52 14 010 Removing and Installing/Replacing Both Seat Rails On Left Or Right Front Seat (Normal/Electric)

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

WARNING: Read and comply with safety regulations for handling airbag modules and pyrotechnical belt tensioners. See 72 SAFETY PRECAUTIONS AND GENERAL INFORMATION .
Improper handling can lead to triggering of the pyrotechnical seat belt pretensioner or side airbag, resulting in injuries.

Switch off ignition!

Unlock all plug connections and disconnect.

Press catches (1).

Slide adjusting unit (2) for active head restraint adjustment in direction of arrow and remove.

Release left and right screws (1).

Tightening torque 52 10 6AZ. See 52 10 FRONT SEATS .

Remove seat rails (4) with carrier plate (3).

Release fastening elements (2) on left and right.

Remove carrier plate (3).

Release screws (1).

Remove holder (2) for lower strap (belt tensioner).
