51 24 015 Adjusting Rear Lid Latch For Rear Lid Lower Section

Prerequisite:

Lower rear lid section correctly adjusted to fit. See 51 24 015 ADJUSTING REAR LID LATCH FOR REAR LID LOWER SECTION .

Unclip trim (1) on left/right.

Installation:

Catches on trim (1) must not be damaged.

Close lower rear lid section (3) and make sure it is correctly engaged in striker (1) on left/right.

Loosen left/right screws (2).

Press on lower rear lid section (3) until mucket (4) of rear lid (3) is slightly compressed.

Tighten down screws (2).

Tightening torque. See BODY EQUIPMENT - TIGHTENING TORQUES .

Check closing comfort, repeat procedure if necessary.

Observe gap dimensions. See BODY GAP DIMENSIONS .

NOTE: No grating noises must be heard when the closed rear lid is pressed slightly.

Version with reversing camera:

After adjusting, calibrate reversing camera. See 66 53 010 CALIBRATING REVERSING CAMERA .
