51 11 156 Removing and installing front bumper trim (from 03/2010)

Release screws (1) on front brace.

Release screws (1) under vehicle.

Loosen screws (1) on the right and left of the wheel arch cover (2). Installation note: Make sure wheel arch cover (2) is in correct position.

Unclip wheel arch cover (1) at front on left and right.

IMPORTANT: Bumper trim (1) is locked at sides in fixture and must be unlocked for removal purposes (risk of damage

Removing:

Beginning on the outside, carefully disengage individual guide tabs (2) on left and right
With the aid of another person, pull bumper trim (1) forward slightly, (if necessary, unlock and detach plug connection for Park Distance Control (PDC), plug connection for Side View camera left/right and plug connection for fog light left/right).

Remove bumper trim (1) towards front with aid of a 2nd person.

Installation note: Guide tabs (1) must not be damaged! Observe gap dimensions. See BODY GAP DIMENSIONS .
