32 41 250 Removing And Installing/Replacing Fluid Reservoir For Power Steering

Special tools required: 

WARNING: Danger of poisoning  if oil is ingested/absorbed through the skin!
Risk of injury  if oil comes into contact with eyes and skin!
IMPORTANT: Adhere to the utmost cleanliness. Do not allow any dirt to enter the hydraulic system.
Seal off hydraulic lines with plugs.

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

Unscrew nuts.

Remove shims.

Installation: 

Replace self-locking nuts.

Tightening torque 32 41 1AZ. 

See STEERING AND WHEEL ALIGNMENT - TIGHTENING TORQUES .

NOTE: Raise and/or turn fluid reservoir in order to gain better access to plug connection and hose clamps.

If necessary, disconnect plug connection at level switch.

Unfasten hose clips.

Disconnect suction line and radiator return line from fluid reservoir.

Lift out fluid reservoir.

Installation: 

Fit hose clamps with special tool 32 1 260.

Replacement: 

If necessary, remove level switch  . See 32 41... REPLACING LEVEL SWITCH FOR DYNAMIC DRIVE FLUID RESERVOIR .

After installation: 

Version with Dynamic Drive:
