66 50 040 Removing and installing/replacing exterior mirror camera

Necessary preliminary tasks

Remove PROTECTIVE CAP FROM EXTERIOR MIRROR .

Release screw (1).

Detach exterior mirror camera (2) from protective cap (3).

Calibration

Only vehicles with production date up to 10/2009 Mount KDS quick-release clamp on the wheels of the side being calibrated: e.g. front left and rear left.
(Mounting the KDS quick-release clamp identifies the wheel center.)
All vehicles: Calibration is performed via BMW diagnosis system:
- Service function
- Body
- All-round vision camera
- Calibration of all-round vision camera
