41 12 557 Replacing Luggage Compartment Floor, Middle Stripping Operations (Tail Panel Removed)

NOTE: Owing to the different engine variants and equipment specifications, not all the components are taken into consideration.
The following list basically represents the removal sequence.
  • Remove exhaust system (job number: 1800020).
  • Remove heat shield.
  • Remove positive battery cable (job number: 6112002).
  • Remove air supply system (job number: 37 22 540).

Release nuts for sealing flange connection (1).

Remove sealing flange connection with positive battery cables (2) and set aside.

Installation note: 

Make sure gasket is correctly installed. (watertightness).

Replace gasket if necessary.

Replace M5 nuts for sealing flange connection.

IMPORTANT: Risk of damage!
Protect positive battery cables against mechanical damage.
