51 11 157 Replacing front bumper panel

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove front bumper panel.
Remove LICENSE PLATE BASEPLATE .
Remove BOTTOM MIDDLE GRILLE .
Remove ORNAMENTAL SIDE GRILLE .
Remove ORNAMENTAL TOP GRILLE .
Remove and install FOG LIGHTS .
Remove WIRING HARNESS .
If necessary, remove ultrasonic transducer.
Remove protective caps for towing eyes.

Version with Park Distance Control (PDC):

Remove ultrasonic sensor.

Unclip wiring harness (1) at points (2).

Install cover (2) for ornamental grille.

Fully remove bridges (1) from cover (2).

Mount cover (1) on bumper trim.

NOTE: Make sure component is correctly seated on latch mechanisms (2) and tabs (3).

Fasten cover (1) with clamps (2).

NOTE: Clamps (2) must fully press cover (1) against bumper trim.
