64 11 262 Removing and installing/replacing auxiliary water pump

Only perform this work after engine has cooled down.
FOLLOW NOTES FOR REPAIR WORK ON COOLING SYSTEM .

Necessary preliminary tasks 

NOTE: Front wheel removed for purposes of clarity.

Release screws (1) on charge air cooler air duct.

Remove air duct (1) to the front.

NOTE: If necessary, catch escaping coolant.

Release nuts (1) and remove auxiliary water pump bracket (2) with auxiliary water pump (3).

Disconnect plug connection (4).

Unlock screw clamps (5) and pull off coolant hoses from auxiliary water pump (3).

Release screw (1).

Unlock and open clamp (2).

Press auxiliary water pump (3) out of auxiliary water pump bracket.

Installation note: 

Make sure auxiliary water pump (3) is fitted correctly in bracket auxiliary water pump bracket.

After installation: 

VENT COOLING SYSTEM AND CHECK ON WATERTIGHTNESS .
