51 16 365 Removing And Installing/Replacing Glovebox Cover (Without Active Knee Protection)

Necessary Preliminary Tasks: 

• Remove trim for instrument panel, bottom right. 51 45 181 REMOVING AND INSTALLING INSTRUMENT PANEL TRIM AT BOTTOM RIGHT .

Open glovebox.

Release clip (1) and detach retaining strap (2).

Release clip (1) and detach damper (2).

Close glovebox.

Release screws (1) and remove counter-supports (2).

Unlock glovebox (3) and remove.

Installation: 

Adjust glovebox (1) to instrument panel (2):

1. A = approx. 5 mm.
2. B = approx. 4 mm (center).

   Check function.
