84 11 627 Removing and installing (replacing) transmit-receive unit
Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Disconnect battery negative lead, refer to 12 00 ... INSTRUCTIONS FOR DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING BATTERY
- Remove and install left luggage compartment wheel arch trim refer to 51 47 151 REMOVING AND INSTALLING / REPLACING LEFT LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT WHEEL ARCH TRIM
NOTE:
Follow instructions for handling optical fibers. Refer to 61 00... NOTES ON HANDLING OPTICAL FIBERS

Unlock plug connections (1) and (2) and disconnect.
Release screws (3) and remove transmit-receive unit (4).
Replacement:
Carry out programming/coding. Refer to DIAGNOSIS PROGRAMMING/CODING .
