11 43 000 Removing and installing/sealing guide tube for oil dipstick (N62)
Necessary Preliminary Tasks:
- Remove intake air manifold. Refer to 11 61 050 REMOVING AND INSTALLING INTAKE AIR MANIFOLD (N62) .
- Drain engine oil. Refer to 00 00 610 ENGINE OIL SERVICE (N62/N62TU) .
NOTE:
For purposes of clarity, this work step is shown on the engine after it has been removed.
Unlock and detach vacuum line (1).
Release screws and remove check valve (2).
Remove guide tube (3) upwards.
Installation:
Replace sealing ring on guide tube.
Apply light coat of oil to seal.
Replacing sealing ring on check valve pipe.
Apply light coat of oil to seal.
Assemble engine.
Check engine for leaks.
