51 11 156 Removing and installing front bumper trim
Necessary Preliminary Tasks:
Not M5:
- Remove middle grille. Refer to 51 11 180 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING GRILLE IN BUMPER TRIM (M5 OR M AERODYNAMIC KIT) .
- Remove air duct trim. Refer to 51 11 160 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING TRIM FOR AIR DUCT ON BUMPER TRIM .
Release screws (1) on wheel arch trim (2) on left/right.
Not M5:
Release screws (1).
Installation:
Make sure trims (2) are in correct position.
M5 Only:
Unscrew screws (1).
Installation:
Make sure trim (2) is in correct position.
Unclip strip (1) in direction of arrow and release screws (2) underneath.
Press bumper trim (1) against direction of travel and release from holders in direction of arrow.
If necessary, disconnect plug connections on left/right fog lamps.
If necessary, disconnect right Park Distance Control plug connection.
Remove bumper trim (1) straight forwards with a 2nd person helping.
