Removal & Installation

  1. Remove parking brake shoes. See PARKING BRAKE SHOES .
  2. Using Special Tool (32 1 030), press stop (1) of adjusting spring back until retaining hook (2) engages in stop (1). See Figure. This will lock adjuster unit (ASZE).
  3. Pull expander lock (1) forwards. See Fig 1. Disconnect parking brake Bowden cable (2). Remove expander lock.
  4. To install, reverse removal procedure.
  5. Adjust parking brake. See PARKING BRAKE  under ADJUSTMENTS.
