51 16 240 Removing and installing rear storage compartment

Move driver's or passenger seat to max. forward position.

Storage compartment, rear left and right:

Open lid of storage compartment (1) in direction of arrow.

Storage compartment, rear left:

Unlock frame (1) and remove.

Disconnect plug connection.

Storage compartment, rear right:

Lift off cover (1) in direction of arrow.

Unclip retaining bracket (1) and remove.

Unlock frame (2) and raise.

Unclip retaining bracket (1) and remove.

Remove frame (2).

Feed out emergency unlocking mechanism for luggage compartment lid (3).

Storage compartment, rear left and right:

Loosen screws (1).

Lift out storage compartment (2) in direction of arrow.

Installation:

Feed journal (1) into openings (2).
