51 11 794 Replacing a shock absorber (impact absorber) for front bumper

Bumper removed.

If necessary, remove complete front bumper. Refer to 51 11 000 Removing and installing complete front bumper .

Left side:

Release nuts (1) and detach impact absorber (2).

Installation: 

Tightening torque 51 11 3AZ. Refer to BODY EQUIPMENT - TIGHTENING TORQUES .

Right side:

Unscrew nuts (1).

Lift cover (2) over trailing eye mounts (3) and detach impact absorber (2).

Installation: 

Tightening torque 51 11 3AZ. Refer to BODY EQUIPMENT - TIGHTENING TORQUES .
