11 53 000 Removing and installing / replacing coolant thermostat (M62): Installation

Vent cooling system and check for leaks,

refer to 17 00 005 DRAINING AND TOPPING UP COOLANT .

Disconnect coolant hose.
Disconnect plug-in connection.
Remove thermostat housing cover with integrated thermostat.

Replace sealing ring.
