51 42... Replacing Airbag Badge On Rear Left Or Right Door Trim Panel

IMPORTANT: Risk of injury in event of airbag deployment: Only the pairings listed below may be fitted. The airbag badge must be replaced if the catches/retaining hooks are damaged.

Version Up To 03/2004:

Door trim panel (1) with completely punched-out hole (2):

Airbag badge (3) with retaining hook (4) must be fitted.

Retaining hook (4) must be correctly inserted in bore of carrier for door trim panel (1).

Build Date From 03/2004:

Door trim panel (1) with 3 incisions (2):

Airbag badge (3) with 3 catches (4) must be fitted.

Catches (4) must be correctly inserted in notches (2) of door trim panel (1).
